The action at the Eagle Farm Racecourse will continue this Saturday as the AAMI Stradbroke Raceday – the next feature on the Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival, goes ahead.

Winner of the Eagle Farm Cup (2200m) Triple Honour is one to look out for in the 2010 Brisbane Cup.

While the rich $1 million Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap (1400m) dominates the day’s action, the Group 2 Brisbane Cup (2400m) has drawn a fantastic 37 nominations to set up a fantastic battle on the track.

Winner of the Eagle Farm Cup (2200m) Triple Honour is one to look out for in the 2010 Brisbane Cup.

The Jim Marconi-trained five-year-old finished strong, and overcame the front runners to prove himself as a staying horse as he took out nominee for the 2010 Brisbane Cup Raffaello who finished in second spot.

Newport – another entrant for Saturday’s Group 2 race rounded off the top three finishers last Saturday, and could be another contender for the 2010 Brisbane Cup.

Representing the local horses, Tabulate, trained by Robert Heathcote is a contender for the 2010 Brisbane Cup after the gelding took the top spot at Doomben in the Group 3 Premier’s Cup (2200m) and saw off Albertinelli into second spot, who is also nominated on Saturday.

The AAMI Stradbroke Raceday will also see the Group 1 Queensland Derby (2400m), the Group 1 T.J. Smith (1600m), and the Group 2 Queensland Guineas (1600m).
